201 Twenty One

Living in Norfolk was not the most pleasant experience for us after moving from DC because of the type of city. However, choosing 201 made our transition so much easier, warmer, and more beautiful. The entire staff was absolutely incredible — truly beyond excellent. If you want to live well and peacefully in Norfolk, this is the place. It has been the best place I’ve lived since moving to the U.S. I miss everything about it — the apartments, the atmosphere, and especially the amazing staff. Thank you so much for everything, 201 team. My family and I will always miss you.

Wonderful place to live. Don't belive every review that gets posted. Maintenance is on top of any issues that might occur in my apartment. I had to wait for a month for an apartment to become available because they lease quickly.The Ladies in the office are wonderful and never hesitate to help when asked. The clubhouse has been renovated and the halls are being painted. It's in a great area of Ghent full of restaurants and shopping. Come by and see for yourself you won't be disappointed.

Every time, I’ve been struck by how impressive these apartments are — from their modern layouts to the excellent upkeep, they really do provide a standout living experience in the heart of Norfolk. My boyfriend lives here, and the parking situation is absolutely terrible. The parking garage no longer issues guest passes, and while guests are limited to two-hour parking on the first level, after 6 PM they can park indefinitely. This system is incredibly inconvenient—my car has been towed twice for exceeding the limit by just ten minutes. On top of that, my boyfriend’s toilet has been broken since he moved in. Technicians come by claiming to fix it, but the issue is never fully resolved.

I really like living here! I’ve lived here for almost a year and I don’t plan on moving until I leave Portsmouth. My apartment does have dated counter tops and cabinets. The fixtures and hinges in the bathroom are old and rusted. But that doesn’t bother me that much. I have the 1 bedroom with a den and it’s a really great size! The office staff is always super friendly and helpful. Maintenance is wonderful and you never have to wait long for something to be fixed! Usually if you put in a request in the morning it’ll be fixed that day. The package room is a bit annoying since it’s inside the leasing office and can only be accessed during hours the office is open, but not a huge deal. You can get your mail from your mailbox at anytime though. I do wish the pool was open for longer. The pool
