1919 Portsmouth Apartments

Since Misty became the manager, there has been a noticeable change for the better. She is incredibly helpful, understanding, and actually listens when you have concerns. She’s gone out of her way to make living here more comfortable, and it really shows. It’s refreshing to have a manager who genuinely cares about the residents.

I’ve had a great experience living at 1919 Portsmouth. Ever since Misty started, everything has been handled super timely and efficiently. She always answers when we reach out and truly takes our requests seriously, which makes a huge difference as a resident. It’s refreshing to have management that is responsive and genuinely cares. Highly recommend this community!

I’ve been living here 3 months and couldn’t be happier. As a Creole woman, it reminds me of the French quarters in New Orleans. I’ll admit move in was a little rocky due to a change in management, but Misty took over the property and IMMEDIATELY resolved everything. I’ve even noticed some property beautification happening. The location is great. I’ll admit there was a safety concern with some of the junkies gaining access to the property and vacant units, but Misty noticed and immediately began addressing the security of both properties. The onsite laundromats do get nasty sometimes. I feel like that’s 100% on the tenants using the facilities and they should be more aware of cleaning up after themselves as overgrown adults. I would highly recommend this property.

I was skeptical of this place at first but asked management on site at the time (GiGi/Jasmine) about some of the reviews the property had. She did well at assuring that the issues listed were either a misunderstanding or issues that predated her and have since been resolved. The first few months of my lease, the property had been well taken care of, the pool was kept clean, and the access gates were always secure. They even put a lot of work into getting the fountains running which was a nice extra to the property even though they often stopped working. But they'd be at it the next day working on it again.
