1722 Summit

If I can give this place a zero star rating I would. There several problems with this building. 1st washer and dryer situation sucks I have to go to laundry mat to do my laundry even though every floor has washer and dryer. The community in the apt is ok but the building next to us is horrible every night you hear noises or someone yelling. Their is no parking everyday after work I would have to look for street parking for 40 min. The leasing agents are horrible to the people I meant manager of leasing agents she nice but the dude that comes by and show people units is horrible to me and other people in building. I even tried applying to be leasing agent but got denied. Theirs alot more but yea

I came here for an apartment viewing and a homeless man was undressing in a common area. I continued on and when shown a floor kitchen there was another homeless person sleeping in this area. I left the premises immediately. I’ve never seen this kind of neglect before for tenant safety.

Management and maintenance are near impossible to get a hold of. I got locked out of my apartment and was told by the maintenance guy to sleep in the hallway or kitchen overnight because they couldn't fix it. Finally got on the phone with someone in the morning and the property manager was equally unhelpful. Avoid this place even if you're desperate, there's a chance you'll be sleeping on the hallway floor anyway.

I live here. I love the building. It's fairly new. The maintenance staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The only drawback, if you can call it one, is the lack of an elevator. I live on an upper floor of a five story building, ill just say my glutes are getting a great workout. The unit lacks a range; they have a microwave, a microwave oven and a mini fridge. There's a kitchen on each floor for residents to use and a chef's kitchen on the first floor. I haven't had any issues other than storage space in the freezers can be difficult to secure sometimes. The building had an issue with package theft but recently the management has cracked down on it and I can only assume reviewed the security footage to see who was taking packages. There hasn't been a package of mine stolen in several weeks.

I moved here in February 2021, and as of May 2021 I am breaking my lease. The facility is nice despite the neighborhood, and the management company, Common, has always been pleasant and helpful despite the terrible landlord they are managing the property for. The issues (promised amenities not working properly/at all) that have driven me to break my lease seem to be due to the landlord being uninterested in fixing reported issues. Given the problems I ran in to, Common (Julie specifically) were very accommodating in breaking my lease. I believe other Common properties around Seattle sound like they're MUCH better, but I would consider avoiding this specific one.
