1414 Texas Downtown

I just moved to Houston and my experience with this place since looking for an apartment has been fenomenal. The showing went really smoothly and they had everything well coordinated as I had limited time to view. The overnight security guard helped me on the day of moving as I arrived really late and was lost and I even had an issue with my unit (oversight on my end) but the leasing team, Markis and Brent, were able to accommodate a swap immediately, customer service is definitely what sets them apart from the others downtown, 10/10 recommend!

I’m a former resident and feel obligated to warn others to STAY AWAY FROM 1414 TEXAS DOWNTOWN. From the moment I moved in, there was a persistent odor issue in the apartment. I reported it multiple times and followed up repeatedly, but it was never resolved during my tenancy. After I moved out, management charged me for cleaning and odor fees, despite the issue being present from day one. When I asked for evidence or documentation to support these charges, they were unable to provide any. Instead of addressing the issue, they sent the charges to debt collection. Plus their studio apartments are like a cage, no windows open whatsoever and the 'bedroom' does not have a single window or airvent. This experience is unprofessional, and predatory. Not sure what Trans person the guy was talking about but the trans security guard that works at 1414 Texas is the nicest person I have met. She usually don’t talk to anyone unless you talk to her. She is extremely kind and helpful. But more importantly she is aware of what’s going on at the apartment.

I have to say our security in our community is top notch and we feel safe at night knowing it takes someone special to take care of our well-being from the time they are arrive until they complete their shift! Thank you to Officer Kirkland! You are doing a great job!
