140 Riverside Boulevard Apartments

Lived here for over 2 years and it’s been hell. Never have I lived on one of the top floors in one of the larger units paying premium rent in any apartment building in Manhattan and had such terrible circumstances. If we paid 1/4 of what we pay here MAYBE the problems here could be somewhat forgiving, or rather better tolerated. It is completely unacceptable that the entire months of January and February, my apartment has had no hot water or heat for 90% of the mornings and evenings. In the evening when you need to bathe your kids, we’ve only had an enough warm (not hot) water for one child. Every morning the water is ice cold until about 8:30am. In the middle of the night the heat throughout my apartment shuts off completely without warning. Things seem to turn back on about 30mins after

A really great place to live. Amazing views of the river. Nice, modern apartments. A workable gym. Laundry and pet services. Fun and friendly concierge staff. Being across the street from the park is perfect for us and our dogs.

This building is extremely poorly maintained. There is a serious rat infestation inside the walls, and despite reporting the issue multiple times over a nine-month period, the problem was never resolved. Maintenance and exterminators came several times, but the rats continued to be an issue — even chewing through the drywall at one point. Living here has been a nightmare. I would strongly advise others to avoid this building until these health and safety issues are properly addressed.

Moved out after living in this building for 5 years for all the reasons described in the more recent reviews. It was a great building to live in while Equity was in charge, but there has been a number of ongoing problems with A&E that were never resolved or even addressed.

We have been living here since 2018 when a different management company ran the building efficiently. Since A&E Management has taken over, the management of the building has severely declined. From non-working elevators to no hot water to water turn offs without prior notice to residents, to limited air conditioning in the gym and NO air conditioning on the resident floors. For the amount of rent they charge here it is TRAVESTY. I do not recommend renting here. You can find better accommodations.
