I wish I could give less than 1 star. This management company is a dumpster fire. I don’t even know where to begin. While going through the application process my sister graciously co-signed with me so I could be approved. They sent her the wrong paperwork three times and had her sign and return each of them. My sister was on a work trip and was super busy and they just kept sending her wrong documents to sign completely wasting her time. It was so frustrating because my sister was being nice by co-signing and they clearly don’t value her time. Incredibly unprofessional start. They are clearly a very unorganized team that is not fully capable of running a leasing company. When I moved in, there were no less than twenty items that needed to be fixed. The 100 year old building is nice. The apartments are very small, esp for the price but again, pretty nice. However, the management company CLK is unresponsive while at the same time overly authoritative. I didn’t have reliable hot water for two months, management did little despite constant communication on my end. When negotiating recompense, they offered a $50 gift card, which I never actually received. Our packages are regularly stolen from the lobby & management let us know that they were replacing the front door to make it more secure. That was in January, it is now almost April and no new door. I've been here for a month. Great location and price. The apartment is small but everything works fine. There were a couple of problems, I just wrote an email and CLK Rental fixed it before I back home at evening. Excellent service, I am completely satisfied!

Absolutely awful experience with CLK management. I rented at 1325 W Wilson in Uptown. 1. My last months rent was prorated but the full payment came out because I had it on automatic payments and the normal amount came out. They said no big deal, that I need to leave a forwarding address and they could mail me the amount they own. I have contacted them various ways 5 different times giving them the forwarding address and FOUR MONTHS later, I have still not received my money. 2. The mail room in the building was constantly a mess. It was open to the public (in a coffee shop) so anyone could have grabbed the packages. Items were left in there for months on end (including spoiled food in boxes) making in impossible to find your packages. 3. The rooftop was my main attraction to the building

Honestly did not have a bad time here. Sure the units are small and a little overpriced, but you're kind of paying for the area too which was great. Amazing restaurants around, especially Kalish and Sam and Gertie's, which are both Vegan, a barbershop, the Abode kids area, and a brand new garden and furniture store. Not only that, but you're very close to Target, Aldi, Jewel, and Marianos, the Aragon Ballroom, Petco, Petsmart, Walgreens, Staples, the Post Office. Honestly the area was great and it made me sad to leave. I also enjoyed the security of the building. I'd previously been robbed and my landlords before took a long time to fix the windows in my unit. So the fact that the building after hours is locked and both elevators and the stairwell require fobs was a bonus for me. And that
