1020 at Winter Springs

Our daughter rents an apt there. The garbage is supposed to be collected every night at her front door but it's not. I just have submitted a complaint to the Florida Dpt of Health and the Board of Commissioners in Seminole County, attaching pictures and video to verified the garbage has not been picked in almost a week this occasion. If you drive around the place, you will see bags and bags of trash in the fronts doors. I took notice that many of these apartments are occupied by families with little children and also many have pets. Also I provided evidence of the mountains of trash by their dumpster, where you can read signs indicating to the tenants the compactor is not working, my daughter shows me messages from their community manager indicating their non-working dumpster issue happen

I am posting another review because more than a year later this apartment complex never responded to my call requesting an itemized list of where my security deposit went and why I owe over 600 in collections. At this point I am about to start the process of-suing because I’ve requested this information several times and shouldn’t have anything owed to this apartment complex!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. My mother had gone to this office to get information regarding any availability. They said that due to her accent they could not assist? Like what? I assumed it was a misunderstanding and I accompanied my mother to the office this time to help her. The manager on site, a black lady said they had no appointments showing for us to get assistance. The office was empty, there was no one waiting to be assisted, no one on the phone requesting assistance. They simply did not want to help my mother, and based on their attitude they seemed to not want to assist based on racial profiling. When I asked what the issue was with manager providing assistance she stated that it was her property and they chose who to assist. This person is obviously not aware about the F

I am sharing this review to praise Terry, the current maintenance manager at 1020 at Winter Springs. He always shows the initiative to get things done around the property when others have not. I have lived here for six years and have seen a lot of staff and management come and go. The current staff seems to be trying to improve the property and correct issues such as smoking weed and cigarettes in or around the apartment buildings and being exposed to second hand smoke through the walls and air. If you have PTSD or are sensitive to noise, it is best to live on the top floor. With no carpeting or padding under the vinyl floors, the noise pollution can be raucous. Thank you Terry for caring! Kalia and the leasing office were amazing! Had to move my elderly mother to the complex. The most precious commodity for me is time….and they were always very responsive and helping which made the process quick and seamless. Thank you for guiding us through such a stressful time.
