1000M Apartments

The community here is warm and welcoming, neighbors are genuinely friendly, and the staff goes above and beyond to bring everyone together through events and daily interactions. The staff above a beyond to help with any issues, creating a sense of community and keeping the amenities clean. It really feels like more than just a place to live, it feels like home. And of course, the views are simply incredible — you get sweeping sights of downtown Chicago that never get old. Watching the skyline from here is a highlight in itself. In the summers you can see the fireworks going off at navy pier and what concerts or sporting event are going on at soldier field and northerly island. And waking up to the gorgeous sunrises on the lake, is the cherry on top. Stunning.

One of the floor-to-ceiling windows in our unit on the 31st floor shattered unexpectedly on Monday this week while my partner and I were watching TV. We’ve been chasing building management ever since. So far, we’ve received NO explanation, no support, and no effort to help us manage the situation. This is not something you’d expect in what’s supposed to be a luxury building, and the lack of responsiveness is extremely disappointing. It’s a serious safety issue, and the silence from management is UNACCEPTABLE! This is yet another — and extremely serious — example that shows how building management is essentially non-existent. I’m curious whether they’ll take the time to respond to this review, given how quickly they seem to reply to every other review here on Google.

It is unreasonable to expect a perfect apartment, as such a thing does not exist. Windows may shatter and parts may wear down, as is bound to happen in any building. You might hear loud music from across the hall, or a newborn cry through the night from the other side of the wall, as is unavoidable when living in a shared community. Therefore, what defines the quality of a building - and one calling itself “luxury” at that - is how those circumstances are managed. Luxury apartments do not have management staff who deflect their responsibility for resolving noise disturbances to the front desk. A professional team does not have one member suggest a concession while another contradicts them entirely. A resident paying nearly $4,000 a month for a one-bedroom should not need to seek out staff

Loved the tour of 1000M. The amenities are outstanding. However, in reading reviews I read where a couple had to move out because the A/C doesn't go lower than 66. I to am a warm person and would need to control my A/C that would be 63-64. Is this true? If so I wouldn't be able to sign a lease :(. I hope management sees this and responds. Thank you, Sandi B~
